Mechangelion

Mechangelion is a fun video game in which you play as a giant mecha whose mission is none other than to defeat all the giant creatures (dinosaurs, other robots, aliens) that have arrived to destroy it.

The gameplay in Mechangelion is simple: on each level, you fight against one of these giant creatures by using three or four controls (at least at the beginning, although as you play, you can add various improvements to your mecha): two dodge buttons, one for each side; an attack button; and a shield button. The battle is almost turn-based, so you can launch an attack first; then, while you recharge, your opponent can launch an attack you'll have to dodge. Depending on how well you do in each fight, you can lose or gain elements of your attacks and defense.

If you do very well, for example, you might win a shield button; but if you perform poorly in the next fight, you might lose it. On the other hand, as you defeat enemies, you'll earn objects to add to your giant robot, as well as improved performance (less charging time, more attack damage, etc.). Once you've eliminated the threat in one place, you'll have to travel around the world to defend Earth from the next.
